A cascade of announcements came as part of EVO's Virtual Fighter panel yesterday. SEGA announced that Virtual Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage will be out for PS5 and Xbox Series October 30th. If you recall, this is the game that comes with Rollback Netcode, an enhanced training mode, and a single player mode called World Stage. The game is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, and will be fully featured, including cross play. That version will be announced at a later date.
The game will also add a "World Stage" single player mode, allowing you to gain customizations for your favorite fighter. If you pre-order, you get the Sega Genesis as a customizable item. Dural is also coming via paid DLC for $7.99 on the same day of release, but is banned from tournament play.
There is also the 30th anniversary pack, which gets you Virtual Fighter 5 R.E.V.O, the Legendary DLC, the Yakuza collaboration DLC, the Swimsuit costume set, the Soundtrack, and more titles for ranked mode, plus some pre production artwork. If you don't want any of that, the game is $20 easy. DLC will be offered separate.
Last but not least, if you have the PS4 version, you can upgrade to the REVO version for $10. If you already have the base version on Steam, yours get upgraded for free.99. The game is also on sale if you don't have it, at 35% off, and 30% off the Anniversary edition.
