Sega has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming kart racer, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. The game looks fantastic, as all the previous entries in the system have been. This franchise is, arguably, the biggest competition for Mario Kart for the genre.
The trailer can be seen below, but I think the “news” of this isn’t necessarily the trailer, but what is shown at the very end: DLC plans! There are plans for a variety of DLC items for the game, and it looks like this will include racers and karts themed to Minecraft, Spongebob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more! There are also going to be new costumes and themes for the existing racers. Hopefully this is where the “CrossWorlds” comes from in the title and we’re going to see a lot more content in the game that breaks out of the sonic universe.
