All the games you can play, including your Switch 1 library on Nintendo Switch 2

More On: Nintendo Switch 2

So, for the majority of the day, me and the kid have been playing the Nintendo Switch 2. Getting the inner workings. Debunking online myths. And powering through our Nintendo Switch 1 games to see what got upgraded beyond the "Nintendo Switch 2" upgrades. I must say that the more I play with this system, the more of a new found appreciation for what the Switch 1 was. But I'm giving you way too much info, and not putting that into my unofficial Nintendo Switch 2 review.

What I will share with you, is what Nintendo shared with their Facebook buddies the other day, and that is a picture of EVERY launch game you can play with the Switch 2. Split Fiction, Cyberpunk, Yakuza 0, they're all here. But there are some surprises. Fortnite got a Switch 2 upgrade, and so did games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Arms, and Super Mario Odyssey, but then there were some secret upgrades for some games.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition looks absolutely stunning, now locked at 60 FPS. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom have to be seen to be believed. But even a game like Crusin' World got a system polish, at no additional download. They just look like...they should've been here the entire time. Bayonetta 2 and 3 are also super cool to look at. While you're at it, fire up Link's Awakening, Echoes of Wisdom, Skyward Sword HD, and Metroid Dread.

While I'm up in arms about how to feel about these upgrades, and load times, I tend to think about how I could ever go back to the Nintendo Switch 1. How could you even show people that this is what Nintendo games look like without all the hullaballoo and modding. Hell, even Have a Nice Death loads faster. And don't get me started about how crazy good Bluey The Videogame looks now. They updated it before the Switch 2, and now we know why.

Anyway, I'm taking more of your time, but I'm hoping that I'm not regurgitating the narrative you've already seen. Stay away from those "truth about the Switch" hit pieces. See it for yourself. Go through those old games.
