Time Crisis spoken into existence? G’AIM’E wants to do it, plug and play style.

More On: Time Crisis

On the latest Gaming Nexus Show Podcast, that you should totally listen to, I stated that Time Crisis was one of my most iconic games. This was an arcade light gun game, where you had a timer to shoot down all the bad guys, and you could take cover, and reload, by pushing down on a pedal. It was one of the most interactive crazy things i had seen. Since then, we've had shooting galleries games like Point Blank, 4 more Time Crisis games, now with huge multiplayer setups, and more. Light Gun games are out there, but none are as iconic to me, as Time Crisis.

On June 24th, a company based out of Japan called Tassei Denki will begin a kickstarter, for what essentially is a plug and play home version of Time Crisis. This whole thing is licensed by Bandai Namco, and is official. If you back the standard pack, you get the game box, the light gun, and Time Crisis. With the premium package, you get all the stuff in the standard, plus Point Blank, Steel Gunner's 1 & 2, and a pedal, plus some other goodies. The ultimate package nets you two light guns, and two pedals, ans all the pre-mentioned.

The kickstarter claims to "just work", and calibrates itself no matter where you are in the room. Also on the landing page, Tassei Denki says "the  G’AIM’E gun uses bespoke technology that utilizes a high-resolution camera and AI; in place of the traditional infrared used in light-guns of the past."

We won't link the details here yet, because the website is insecure, but watch this space for further announcements. Here's the breakdown of the packages.
