Football Heroes League gets promoted to consoles

More On: Football Heroes League

Ok I have to admit I lifted this news post headline directly from the press release, but what can you do when face with perfection other than copy/paste? Football Heroes League is a free to play over the top soccer game based on a hero-style team building design. Each character, or hero, has their own unique abilities to distinguish the gameplay. If Rocket League asked the question "what if you played soccer with cars?" then at first glance Football Heroes League seems to be asking "what if you played Rocket League with players?" But the game's been out for a month now already on PC and Steam reviews are painting a pretty clear picture that that is the wrong question. This is not a Rocket League clone and it seems like if that's your expectation then you will probably not have that one met.

What this seems to be more like is a competitor to Rematch, another third person style soccer game. But where Rematch is going to cost $30 when it launches June 19th Football Heroes League is leaning more into the heroes and is free to play now on PC and September 16th for PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch. Hey, it's free so all you're giving up to give it a try is the bandwidth to download it. I'm excited to at least jump in and will try and keep on open mind when I do because this one really seems like its own thing and I figure I'm going to come out the best by offering it an open slate.
