Seagate releases a limited edition portable SSD in collaboration with Genshin Impact

Seagate has done a lot of branded storage solutions and yesterday they came out with one for Genshin Impact fans. The Seagate Genshin Impact Limited Edition External SSD is a compact 1TB external SSD that might appeal to fans of the free to play MMO.

Coming in at $139.99 and only available through Seagate’s web store, this little portable hard drive features Cyno on the front. As I’m not a Genshin Impact player, I couldn’t tell you much about the character, just that I know he’s one of the playable characters in the game.

Size wise, the SSD measures 100mm tall, 50mm wide, and 11mm thick. The small size makes it very portable and easy to slip into a backpack or even your pocket.

The artwork has a textured feel to it with Cyno feeling slightly raised above the surface. Around the sides is a nice border design that wraps around the edge of the enclosure. On the back is the Genshin Impact Cyno logo, which also has a raised feel to it. It sits in the middle of a purple backing that also features a subtle design around the logo.

On the bottom of the enclosure sits a nice little LED that emits a purplish hue when plugged in and running. It’s not too bright, but gives off a purple accent light that matches the colors of the case. When the drive is asleep while plugged in, the light does turn off.

The Genshin Impact Limited Edition External SSD has another white LED light next to the USB-C connector. Included with the SSD is a thick USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the drive to your computer, phone, or console.
