Yes, I've done it, too. I now have Marvel VS Capcom Fighting Collection for Playstation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The latter just came this morning as a physical copy. Now you too can own the game and have it in your grubby little assist calling cross up hands.
Most of us are double (triple) dipping, because digital games come and go. Even if they're in your library, some e-shops (Nintendo, Xbox) shut down, and take all servers offline. In some instances, you can't even re-download the games you bought, if you don't have them stored somewhere already.
When Stadia shut down, they just refunded you for all the games, and at least let you convert the saves into the new games you had to purchase. The cloud isn't even safe. What will happen to the free games I now have from Epic Game store, and Amazon Prime if they shut down? I don't have physical copies of those. What were we talking about? Oh right. Marvel VS Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is out on physical today. Xbox fans will get it in February, both digital and physical. You know what to do. It is nominated for the fighting game of the year. Here's Maximillian Dood loving all of it.
