I fell for it. I showed interest in that Atari 2600+ with the HDMI hook up, and the multi cart that came with it, and then, it magically showed up on my doorstep one day. I played it for one stream. I tested carts, and lived in nostalgia for a good hour. Then I put it back in the box. Because yes.
Yesterday, Atari played with my emotions. They announced the Atari 7800+, which is the same concept, except it plays 7800 games AND 2600 games, plus comes with a WIRELESS controller. Later, Atari promises 10 new 7800+ game cartridges, which includes 3 multi game carts for the 2600+.
The beautiful console is now available for preorder at $129.99, and comes sometime in winter. Does anyone want a 2600+? It's like keeping a PS1, when you have a PS2.
