Playable demo lands for Morbid: The Lords of Ire

More On: Morbid: The Lords of Ire

I had not heard of Morbid: The Lords of Ire before noticing the press release for the demo, but I love me a good demo and miss the old PS3 days when so many games had one. Now that it's the exception, not the norm, I love pointing out when it happens and am pleased to welcome the latest Morbid game to the demo halls of honor. I say latest because The Lords of Ire is actually the follow up to Morbid: The Seven Acolytes which was user reviewed pretty well sitting at 4.29 stars out of 5 on the PSN and "Mostly Positive" on Steam (and also on sale for five bucks right now).

The Morbid: The Lords of Ire demo covers the first level of the game, expected to be about one or two hours of content. While the previous title, Seven Acolytes, was an isometric souls-like The Lords of Ire steps into an over the shoulder 3D perspective and allows you to switch playstyles equipping various different weapons. Although The Lords of Ire is expected to land on Switch and Xbox just like the previous game, it appears the demo is only available for PS5 through the Playstation Network and PC through Steam. With the demo available now hopefully the full game is nearing completion, although no firm release date is yet known.
