More On: Mario vs. Donkey Kong

I haven’t touched a Mario vs. Donkey Kong game since the Game Boy Advance days. But there is a new one on the horizon coming to the Switch on February 16. Luckily the rivalry between the mustachioed plumber and the giant gorilla hasn’t gone anywhere. “This enhanced version of Mario vs. Donkey Kong offers over 130 levels and Two-Player Mode that helps you and your friends tackle challenges in all new ways. Also new to this version of the game are Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summittwo worlds full of new enemies and level themes with distinct play mechanics to keep you on your toes.”

This is not some fly-by-night remaster either. You can also unlock plus and expert levels as you play through Mario vs. Donkey Kong to give yourself even more of a challenge. There will also be a time attack feature, so you can see if you can beat your own score at all 130 levels. Mario vs. Donkey Kong is also sporting a casual and classic gameplay style. As you might have guessed, classic is the original style; casual will be less punishing and offer more chances and do-overs.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong arrives on February 16 to the Nintendo Switch.
