It's that time of the year. We're getting some new NVIDIA cards and this time, pricing seems to be much better.

Today on the day before CES officially starts, NVIDIA has announced three new Ada Lovelace cards with the Super designation. NVIDIA skipped the previous generation of cards with the Super moniker, but we're getting three new ones.

First up is the GeForce RTX 4080 Super. This new high end gaming card is being touted as 1.7X faster than the RTX 3080 and will be launched at $999. Yes, you read that right. It's going to be $200 less than the RTX 4080 when it was launched and be faster than that card. What's going to happen to the RTX 4080? Well, those cards will be end of life and any remaining stock that's sold will be the end of that. No word if there's going to be a discount for this card on the way out, but the RTX 4080 Super will now be the current high end for gamers not counting the 4090 card. Expect this card on January 31st.

Next is the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super, which is made for fast 1440P gaming as well as some 4K. For those wanting more VRAM, this will feature 16GB of G6X memory and the card gets a 256-bit memory bus upgrade over the RTX 4070, which had a 192-bit memory bus. Coming in at $799 or a little bit more than what you can get the RTX 4070 Ti. You can expect performance somewhere in the RTX 4080 range with this one, which if this is true, will be a nicely valued card for those wanting that performance but at a substantially less cost than what the RTX 4080 is. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super will launch on January 24th. Also, this card will replace the RTX 4070 Ti in the stack so like the RTX 4080, there won't be any new RTX 4070 Ti cards being made after the current inventory is sold out.

And finally, we have the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, a card with 20% more cores than the RTX 4070 and touting RTX 3090 performance. This will be the first of the Super cards to come out on January 17th and it'll retail for $599. For comparison, this was the same launch price as the RTX 4070 last year. It will still have 12GB of memory, so those wanting more VRAM will be a little disappointed about this.

Unlike the RTX 4080 and 4070 Ti, the RTX 4070 cards will remain and be the current low end in the 4070 SKU. And for those wanting Founder's Editions, NVIDIA will be producing the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4070 Super, but there won't be a RTX 4070 Ti Super Founder's Edition card.

Also, GeForce Now folks will get GSYNC for smoother gaming when streaming. For those that want to try for a day, NVIDIA will start offering Day Passes starting in February which will offer full access to GeForce Now to let you skip the line and get access to more powerful hardware.
