VITURE announced a more affordable VITURE Light XR glasses

More On: VITURE Light

In my review of the VITURE One, I found it to be one of the more compelling XR glasses offering out there currently. It's ecosystem is pretty second to none and the glasses feel premium. It might not have the specs of some of the other ones out there, but the fit and finish along with the picture quality are top notch.

CES is right around the corner, but it looks like VITURE is getting started early and ringing in the New Year with the announcement of the VITURE Light. Coming in at $349, or $90 less than the VITURE One, the VITURE Light looks to offer a lot more affordable XR glasses offering with two major changes.

First is the removal of the electrochromic dimming lenses that's featured on One. It's a feature that I use a lot, but I could also do without if need be as VITURE offers a lens cover in case you want to really black out your surroundings.

The second, and one that I really like, is the change from a proprietary magnetic connector to a standard USB-C connector for the VITURE Light. This was one feature on the VITURE One that I went back and forth on in my review. I'm not a fan of proprietary connectors, especially in areas that can wear out a lot like the connection of these glasses, so I'm really happy to see VITURE go with a standard USB-C connection on the Light.

But what of the Neckband that VITURE has? It connects to the glasses with the magnetic connector so how will it work with the VITURE Light? VITURE is also launching a USB-C to magnetic connector dongle that will ensure backwards compatibility with the Neckband as well as allowing it to be used with other products such as other XR glasses or even a monitor.

From the sounds of it, the specs should be the same as the VITURE One so if you want to save a little bit of money, the VITURE Light just might be the XR glasses you're looking for. They come in black and for a limited time, a marshmallow white color as well.

You can pre-order the VITURE Light right now for a January delivery. The magnetic dongle will run you $19 should you choose to pick one up.
