EA UFC 5 reveals all of their game modes in a new trailer

EA UFC 5 releases next week and EA released a new trailer showing off all the game modes in this year's game. While there isn't really anything new or groundbreaking it seems existing modes have gotten some updates.

One of the updates I'm excited about is the changes to Fight Week. Fight Week will feature cards that match upcoming UFC Fight Nights and PPVs. These fights will have challenges you can complete to unlock different vanity items and you can also make picks on who you think will win the real world matches which could unlock even more rewards.

There will be a new online career mode this year where you create a character, participate in fights which can earn you stats to level up your characters and perks. The offline career mode returns as well and looks like a more story focused career this time. Sadly it really looks like the gameplay part of it remains the same.

The Backyard and Kumite return this year but have been given different rule sets. The Backyard is five three minute rounds and the judges only score on damage. Kumite on the other hand is a single 25 minute round and if you both go the distance the fight will end in a draw.

There are also some other cool updates like adding gameplay sliders to Fight Now to change playstyles like increasing or decreasing damage, stamina and more.

EA UFC 5 launches on October 27th 2023 for PS5 and Series X
