Whenever I see a new Trine game on its way to us, I get excited. I’ve had a lot of fun playing these, especially with the couch co-op. I also love the length of these titles, again, perfect for a co-op session. A fifth game is on its way, coming out at the end of this month, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy. To help get players a little more familiar with the main three characters, if you haven’t played before, character trailers are starting to come out. Right now the one for Zoya the Thief has just dropped. “Clever and elusive, Zoya the Thief pulls off manoeuvres with her bow, arrows, ropes, and her grappling hook enabling her to navigate through tricky situations. Now, she is leaving behind her life as an "Entrepreneur" to embark on new adventures in Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy!”
Trine 5 will follow the same style as most of the Trine titles of being 2.5D, a mixture of side-scrolling and 3D elements. Up to four players can play, either online or in local co-cop. Puzzles, combat, all of the elements you expect from a Trine title will be here, including a return of the voice cast. Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch on August 31st, 2023.
