Interested in a new 3D platformer? Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara has just reached shore and on just about any platform you could think of. “Koa and her best friend Napopo are on an adventure through the islands of Mara. She’ll have to outwit traps, maneuver through dangerous environments, and explore a series of different landscapes on their quest to recover stolen pirate loot.” There are 8 parts of the archipelago to unlock and explore. Biomes like sandy beaches and bubbling volcanoes are just a few you will see. If sailing through the ocean sounds more like your cup of tea, you can do that too. Koa will have a boat that you can upgrade as you progress in order to explore all of Mara. Some of the early thoughts from the Steam Curators, who played during a recent Steam Next Fest, are putting this on par with feeling like a 3D Mario platformer, something I can totally get behind.
Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is out now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. There is currently a 15% discount on all platforms.
