More On: Monster Hunter Now

The geniuses at Niantic today announced the impending arrival of Monster Hunter Now on Sept. 14 of this year. For those not in the know, Monster Hunter Now is a geographically-based adaptation of Capcom's insanely popular Monster Hunter franchise, which will allow players to wander the real world in search of AR monsters to battle - kind of like Pokémon Go, but cool.

Niantic today posted the following showcase, which give players a great look at the game and how it will function once it is in players' hands.

Additionally, the team announced which monsters players will encounter in the wild, which includes everything from the Great Jagras all the way up to the Rathalos and Diablos (and yes, Pukei-Pukei is in there). Also featured was a list of weapons players will be able to choose from, which sadly does not include my beloved Dual Blades. Oh well, maybe in an update.

Gonna make me a fuzzy white hat.

Interested players are now able to pre-register for Monster Hunter now by clicking this link - and the more people that sign up, the better the bonuses for those that do, so get in there and get it done.
