Women's World Cup update goes live in FIFA 23

The actual Women's World Cup kicks off next month in Australia and New Zealand, but players around the world can start their digital journeys now. Three game modes have been introduced to FIFA 23 in the latest game update, adding classic single or local multi-player Tournament and Kick Off modes alongside a brand new mode - Lead Your Country

Lead Your Country has you step into the boots of a star player from any national team or a custom-created Avatar. You can play as just the player on and off the ball or control the whole team as you traverse the group stages and knockout rounds to the final. All 32 qualified nations are represented in the game, as well as custom stadium dressings, cinematics, match presentations, and dedicated commentary.

So who's favored to win? Well the FIFA predictor has the USA picked to beat Germany in the final. Before you write it off, know that the predictor has apparently correctly picked the last 4 Men's World Cup winners, including Argentina last winter. Whoa.

FIFA 23 is available on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC. There is also kind of a Switch version but really it's a copy/pasted abomination year over year everyone should avoid and is NOT getting this content update. FIFA 23 is also on The Play List, granting access to all EA Play subscribers as well.
