The clown masked criminals return in the third installment of the crime spree game. Payday 3 takes to the streets of New York City to customize your heists and score the loot. The gist of the game appears to be a continuation of what made the previous ones so successful, but the press release touts the following features:
The Tightest Crew - The legendary Payday crew, feared by the law and underworld alike, is back. New York City has tons of opportunities for a heister with a plan.
Give in to your greed - Give your greed an outlet and let loose in PAYDAY 3. Claim any valuables you might come across to build a private arsenal of weapons, cosmetics, and accolades.
The Art of Heisting - In PAYDAY 3, choices are in the hands of the players. Choose your equipment, your skills, and your approach. Each heist will play differently depending on the decisions you make during and before a job.
Thrive in co-op – Play heists with elegance, as in Ocean’s Eleven, or go toe-to-toe with the security services, as in HEAT. Each playthrough is unique and full of action and tension.
Payday 3 launches September 21st, 2023. They really ought to add a surfing mini-game between heists because as much as Heat and Oceans 11 are good films like they name dropped above, Point Break is the bit of cinema that speaks most to my sentimentalities.
