We get a deep look into Starfield and it looks like it'll be a lot of fun

More On: Starfield

September 6 can't come soon enough and today, Betheda showed off a ton of Starfield. The next big IP from the developers of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout will have their space RPG out this Fall and what they showed off looks to be very promising.

As always, Bethesda ups the ante with how they are doing character creation. I know some of our staff members will be spending hours just to get their character right. Bethesda boasts that most people you see in the game can be recreated using the character editor.

Skills and backgrounds will come into play as you can add some flavor to your characters that will extend into options that can help you during the game. For example, they showed off a person getting by a group of pirates because the character had the same religion has the enemy groups and it allowed for the player to move on from them without any combat needed.

Like Fallout 4, you'll get plenty of opportunities to upgrade the look and capabilities of your weapons. Customizability also extends to what maybe the most exciting feature of the game and that's your spaceship. The editor looks really easy to use and I'm excited to see what people come up with for their own spaceship.

There will also be a nice custom Xbox controller and headset that's Starfield branded that you can add to your setup.  Not only that, but the watch that's in the game is going to be available as part of the Starfield collector's edition complete with a pretty awesome looking case that unlocks with a twist. It's pretty slick.

September 6, 2023 will be the launch date for Starfield and for those with Gamepass, you'll be able to play it on day one. I'm really looking forward to this one and seeing what Bethesda can do with a space themed game.
