Fallout-inspired MMO Ashfall will be featured at NetEase Connect 2023

More On: Ashfall

The more I see of Ashfall, the more I want to play it. Ashfall is an upcoming MMORPG, developed by Legendary Star Studios and published by NetEase, which is openly inspired by Fallout. While the game takes place on a different continent than the typical U.S.-based Fallout series, there is no mistaking the wasteland vibes that Ashfall is putting down.

As NetEase gears up for Ashfall's beta period, it is featuring a documentary about the soundtrack at this year's NetEase Connect 2023 event. The production of the score, which was created by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer and music producer Steve Mazzaro, will be detailed as part of the event. The event will be live-streamed on NetEase Games' official Twitter, Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube channels in Japanese and English on May 20th at 10:30 PST / 13:30 EDT, and will feature some major upcoming and current games including Naraka: Bladepoint, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, Justice, Dead by Daylight Mobile, and Lost Light.

Ashfall will be cross-platform, allowing PC and mobile players to adventure together. While it will be reminiscent of Bethesda's franchise, it differentiates itself with it's setting, with elements of Eastern culture like Chinese architecture and monster designs informing the action. I'm all for new flavors in my Wasteland.

Players interested in Ashfall can wishlist the game on Steam for a chance to participate in the upcoming closed beta here
