Sure, there's some hypocracy to a game sponsored in part as a recruiting tool for the
U.S. Army while other parts of our goverment decry violent games. But truth be told,
America's Army is a series of pretty good FPS games that offers a better dose of realism than most, and . Granted, because they are goverment sponsored, you don't get to chose to play as terrorists. But in
America's Army: True Soldiers, both teams appear as the insurgent forces to each other. So in essence, you are actually both good and bad, and what the game is really about is the action. With the addition of the Blue Force Tracker (to help you know where your men are), and the Raven UAB (So you know where everything is) The action is going to be even better than in previous versions of the game.
The bad news is that a developer from
Red Storm Entertainment (a division of
Ubisoft) told me that the game was being delayed until likely sometime in October. So, the action is coming, just not quite as soon as expected. But with the inclusion of better group tactics, enhanced realtiy of unit communications (the enemy can hear you yelling orders to your troops, but not just speaking to them if they are close by), along with new wepons, skills, and character enhancements it looks like
True Soldiers for the 360 will be the best title in the series to date.
