Shoulders of Giants looks like an explosively colorful sci-fi roguelike game with space frogs. Can you ever go wrong with space frogs? The upcoming title has been designed to put players' teamwork to the test. Players simultaneously control a sword-wielding robot and a gunslinging space frog, either alone, with friends, or as part of a team of four.
“The forces of Entropy are spreading chaos throughout the stars, corrupting living planets and urging on the heat death of the universe. Led by the psychic Owl, one scrappy team of space survivors is fighting to restore the balance. Together, the mysterious mech and sharpshooting amphibian must mow down waves of enemies and restore light and life to the galaxy.”
Some of the game's features include an "Army of Four" mode, where players battle the forces of entropy in a four-player online co-op and see if their teamwork is strong enough to survive. Players can experience quick bursts of roguelike joy as they explore, grow, and become gloriously overpowered on a never-ending ride of randomized levels. They can shoot and slash their way through explosively colorful planets, restoring life and light to the shattered worlds as they fight. The game also features loot that just sounds fun to play around with, like grappling hooks and glowing grenades. Shoulders of Giants also features a unique co-op mode, "Best friend mode," where players team up with a friend, each taking control of the frog or the robot and effectively controlling one player character together.
Preorders for the sci-fi roguelike Shoulders of Giants begin today. Early adopters will bag a 20% discount on the launch price and four exclusive color sets. The game will launch on 26th January on Xbox and Epic.
