Publisher All in! Games and female-led developer Naraven Games have finally announced a release date for their debut game Backfirewall_ and it's not too far away! The game calls itself a self-aware tragic comedy about an operating system trying to survive inside a smartphone. This current OS is doomed to be replaced by a better optimized system and will do anything in order to stay alive!
In your journey to save operating system OS9 from deletion, you must solve puzzles, squash bugs and use cheat codes in order to prevent the system update from happening! Dive deep into the meaning of self preservation and noble sacrifice, and make the ultimate choice between the two. This lovely indie gem features a unique setting set inside the nano bits inside a smartphone only to be accompanied with unexpected yet iconic voice acting!
Backfirewall_ is coming to PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on January 30th, 2023. It will also be coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date. A free demo is available now on Steam!
