There Is No Light: Enhanced Edition is an upcoming update for the dark 2D action-adventure game of the same name. Developed by Zelart and published by HypeTrain Digital, the update will be released on January 7. With it brings significant improvements to the game's combat system. Players will be able to obtain new abilities from the Souls of defeated bosses, adding greater diversity to combat. In addition, the side part of the Caves of Rebirth location will now be accessible after completing the sidequest, the combat system has been rebalanced, and surface readability has been improved. The game is currently available on PC, with console versions set to release in the first half of 2023.

Set in a grim underground world ruled by the Church of the Great Hand, There Is No Light follows the story of a hero trying to save their child, who the Church has taken. That's done by fighting against hordes of demonic creatures and Bosses. The pixel art world is vast and detailed, and players can choose between four main weapons to adjust their fighting style for each foe. The game features over 70 types of enemies and Bosses, over 1000 dialogues, and a Karma system that impacts the branching story based on player decisions. It also includes a skill tree for each weapon to allow players to customize their combat style. The game was funded on Kickstarter in 2020, where it received support from more than 2,000 backers and raised over $70,000. The game currently has Very Positive reviews on Steam.
