Developer Soleil Ltd. and publisher 110 Industries have decided to release their 16 bit retro styled shooter Space Runaway today for free! It was originally created as a mini-game to appear in their upcoming third person action game Wanted: Dead that's coming in February of next year. Space Runaway pays homage to arcade shooters of the 80s era, and offers 7 levels to blast through with bosses to defeat and powerups to obtain. Don't worry, this entire minigame will be playable inside the full game of Wanted: Dead as well! I dig it when developers put full fledged retro games inside their modern titles, and I can't wait for when Wanted: Dead comes out.
In this cute throwback shooter game, you play as Lt. Landers taking control of a secret mech called XR-110 (I see what 110 Industries did there). You are pitted against a ruthless empire that's trying to take control of Earth's last hope and it is up to you to put a stop to them!
In other news, the entire soundtrack for Wanted: Dead is now available for streaming on all music platforms, and I'm listening to it right now as we speak. It's got a great throwback vibe and I'm all for it. Check it out for yourself!

Wanted: Dead is releasing on February 14, 2023 on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Space Runaway is available now on PC via Steam for free. It is coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles soon.
