EA announces the soundtrack to Boogie

by: Ben Berry -
More On: Boogie
Chuck keeps sending me these news clips for music based games, and I keep posting them. I think it's punishment for pwning his girlfriend at SingStar during the annual GN 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza. It could also be that he knows I enjoy these games, and with the lineup below, Boogie looks to be a fast starter, even though it's a somewhat late entrant into the field of singing games. Combining singing and dancing on the Wii, this could be one of the best party games to be released on any platform, ever. (It's E3 week, if this isn't the time for overexagerated hyperbole, I don't know when is). Ok, so I have to back off that slightly, only because the songs are all covers. Come on, People! It's not like people can pirate MP3's off these discs, get the original artists!

Clearly, I'm going to be lobbying hard for the review copy of this game when it comes out. Think about it.... grooving in your living room while singing Kung Fu Fighting, You Can't Touch This, and Virtual Insanity? Off the Hook. But far and away the best inclusion on the list is perhaps the greatest "New Wave" song ever, Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. I see many nights of Molson Canadian and Boogie in my future.
