Spike Chunsoft announced that their upcoming release of CHAOS;HEAD NOAH will no longer be releasing on the Steam storefront due to censorship restrictions and enforced guidelines. CHAOS:HEAD NOAH is a science fiction visual novel where you play as Takumi tasked to find the truth behind a serial murder case called “New Generation Madness".
Please see below for an official statement from the publisher:
"Spike Chunsoft, Inc. today regrets to announce that it will not be able to release CHAOS;HEAD NOAH on Steam as originally planned due to Steam’s guideline-required changes to the game’s content. Spike Chunsoft, Inc. believes these changes would not allow the game to be released to its standards. The company extends its sincerest apologies to all of the fans looking forward to this release. The company is looking into delivering the title through alternative storefronts, and when details are decided will make another formal announcement. Until then your patience and understanding is appreciated. Please also rest assured the Nintendo Switch version is not affected and will release on October 7, 2022, as scheduled."
CHAOS;HEAD NOAH / CHAOS;CHILD DOUBLE PACK is still coming to Nintendo Switch on October 7, 2022, as previously planned. Spike Chunsoft is looking into alternative storefronts for the PC release, so please stay tuned for more updates.
