More On: Sker Ritual

Wales Interactive shared the road map for their upcoming asymmetric multiplayer horror game Sker Ritual. It is the spiritual successor to their previous game, Maid of Sker, and pits you and your friends against the Quiet Ones in a round-based co-op survival first person shooter. In case you missed it, check out Eric's review of Maid of Sker on the PlayStation 4.

Sker Ritual will release content in "episodes" with Episode One launching this October. Please see below for more details regarding the Early Access content:

  • Episode One: the very first map 'Cursed Lands of Lavernock' is near completion. The map will feature all objectives, trials and a boss fight with the only major feature missing being some of our top secret Easter Eggs.
  • Sker Pass: a completely free cosmetic reward system with absolutely no premium pass option, just like they used to make 'em. The Sker Pass will launch with 50 free items (including masks, animated menu backgrounds, player icons, menu music, weapon charms and more) and each Episode update will offer 25 new items to unlock.
  • Additional DLC: optional bundles of themed cosmetic items will be available to purchase on the Steam store for $3.99. These are purely cosmetic to show off in-game.
  • Languages: the initial launch will feature English only however, we are already working on the localisation for several other languages which we will implement as soon as possible.
  • Each Episode will be a new map update with the added bonus of some Sker story (with some voice acting) that follows on from the events of Maid of Sker.
