Outer Wilds launches on next-gen consoles today; Free upgrade for owners

Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Mobius Digital have announced that Outer Wilds is now available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X at 4K 60fps support! 

Outer Wilds is a role playing game where you find yourself stuck in a groundhog day time loop in a mysterious solar system. The game has won several awards including the Seamus McNally Grand Prize and Excellence in Design awards in the 2015 Independent Games Festival. It was nominated in 2020 for Game of the Year at both the D.I.C.E. Awards and the Game Developer Choice Awards. That same year, it won Best Game, Game Design, and Original Property during the British Academy Games Awards.

• From planets and moons to alien structures and spacecraft, discover the mysteries of this hand-crafted, fully dynamic solar system.
• Play as the newest recruit of Outer Wilds Ventures, a fledgling space program searching for answers in a strange, constantly evolving solar system.
• The planets of Outer Wilds are packed with hidden locations that change with the passage of time. Visit an underground city before it’s swallowed by sand, or explore the surface of a planet as it crumbles beneath your feet.

Outer Wilds is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X. The next-gen console upgrade is free for existing owners of the game. It is still coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date.
