Midnight Fight Express brings an action movie to life on August 23

More On: Midnight Fight Express

In just a couple of days, Midnight Fight Express will empower you to start cracking skulls. Published by Humble Games and developed by Jacob Dzwinel, Midnight Fight Express has players fighting their way across a brutal city in one night, trying to overcome an entire criminal organization before the sun rises.

Midnight Fight Express is not your standard pixelized beat-em-up. Rather, the game uses motion captured animation by stunt performer Eric Jacobus - who did stunts in a few little games you might have heard of. Stuff like The Last of Us: Part II, Call of Duty: Warzone, and God of War: Ragnarok. You know, nothing big.

As the player progresses, they will be able to unlock a variety of new moves to develop their own signature fighting style. And speaking of style, the game includes over 150 pieces of clothing  you can equip, to make your version of Babyface (yes, the main character is named Babyface) as cool or as dopey as you want.

Gaming Nexus is not reviewing Midnight Fight Express, but we are hoping to have some gameplay ready to go on release day, so you can get a deeper look at the game before making a purchase decision. We'll see you back here on August 18 at 12:00 PM EST.

Midnight Fight Express launches on August 23 on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
