I keep hearing this term, flintlock fantasy, but until recently I’ve never really looked into it. Turns out it’s when you merge a fantasy setting with the early stages of the industrial revolution. Think Napoleonic-era Europe, but with wizards. Developer A44 Games is jumping on the growing popularity of the genre with Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. They recently released a gameplay reveal trailer, and I have to say, it’s going on my wishlist. “Join humanity’s last stand as Gods and guns collide in an all-new action-RPG open-world adventure. Your battle begins now.”
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Pc. It also appears to be coming to Game Pass.
