More On: Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition

Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition is an action platformer filled with puzzle-style combat where you switch shapes in order to gain different abilities to progress. It’s a bit of a rock, paper, scissors style combat, where one shape beats the opposite. The game originally was released back in 2016 on the PC, but is now making its way to just about every console you can think of.

As some of us wish to live in a world of three dimensions, some long for the simplicity of 2. Long ago a wise sorcerer in the Flat Kingdom appeared and created six magical jewels, keeping the dimensions stable and maintaining the peace. But then Hex kidnapped the princess, also taking one of the jewels with him. Causing 3D chaos, putting the Kingdom in serious danger again. Now Flat, a little 2D doodle-like creature that has the ability to change shapes at will, can hopefully overcome all kinds of obstacles and beat the geometric foes and return peace to Flat Kingdom. An interesting feature to the game is the music, composed by Manami Matsumae who has worked on a few Mega man titles, as well as Shovel Knight.

Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition is now out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
