More On: The Last Cube

The Last Cube, an atmospheric puzzle game with a super-dope sci-fi soundtrack, released this week on PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch.

I took a brief look at the game today, running through the first world and having a pretty good time figuring out The Last Cube's intuitive puzzle design. The game uses a unique "sticker" system, which allows you to imprint patterns on your cube which are then used to solve puzzles. Very slick idea, and it is well implemented in the game. Take a look:

The Last Cube is retailing for $17.99, which is a pretty reasonable price for a game that offers over 300 contextual puzzles. "We’ve spent five years putting together The Last Cube, so we’re very eager to see how quickly people can solve our most intricate brain teasers,” said Max Samarin, creative director at Improx Games in a provided statement. “There’s a lot to unpack in the game, between the mandatory puzzles, the hidden ones, and uncovering the lore of the Cube Planet.”
