I kind of miss the glory days of Ghost Hunters, or Ghost Adventures, or whatever that show was called. My wife and I would roll home from the bar in our younger days at about 1:00 AM, and flip around on TV until we found one of those shows, and then stay up hooting and hollering as a gang of idiots tried to convince each other that they heard a voice through the static on a tape, and marvel at the fact that they were being surrounded by dusty "orbs" floating through the air. That's good old fashioned entertainment for drunk people.
But things seem much more serious in Paranormal Hunter VR - the new VR-optional game from developer EALoGAMES. In this game, you wander around desolate places, hunting for clues that spooks exist while trying not to become one of them. But get this - in a twist, you can take up to four friends with you. Yes, you too can have your own supernatural Scooby Doo gang to search for ghosts late at night. Will there be orbs? Only time will tell!
Paranormal Hunter’s debut playable demo is now available on Steam. The demo features one level with randomized elements designed for highly replayable sessions and unpredictable scares. If you’d like to go hands-on with the demo, head on over to the Steam Page.
The full version of Paranormal Hunter will arrive on PC via Early Access in Q2 2022 with optional VR support for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality devices, with planned PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions following launch.
