Mysterious desert survival game Starsand preps for playable demo and early access

More On: Starsand

I've been keeping an eye on Starsand, the Subnautica-style survival sim that takes place in a mysterious desert world, for a little while now. Comparing it to such classic sci-fi as Another World, John Carter, and Stargate, developers Toplitz Productions' have prepared an awesome-looking adventure in a huge open desert space.

Inspired by a real-life desert marathon tragedy in the '90s, Starsand has the player seeking shelter from a sand storm during a marathon, and waking up on a mysterious world that would look familiar - if not for the two moons. The player must construct weapons, shelters, and defenses, all while trying to uncover the mysteries of the planet and how they got there.

Starsand is going into Early Access on November 4, but players can give the game a shot with a playable demo on October 25th. Players can wishlist the game (and snag the demo once it goes live) on Steam here
