Hero's Hour looks to pack a punch in a bit sized world

More On: Hero's Hour

Hero's Hour is a fast turn-based strategy RPG with auto battler combats. Develop your cities and armies, level up your heroes to unlock more powerful spells and skills, all while exploring the dangers of a procedurally generated map. The end goal being to conquer your enemies while they try to do the same to you. While I found the trailer interesting enough on its own, I feel as if it doesn't do the game justice when you look at all the planned features of the game.

Hero’s Hour Features:
• 10 factions with special mechanics, strengths and weaknesses
• 20 hero classes, with a special skill each
• 36 common hero skills
• 134 units (without counting upgrades)
• 70 unique unit abilities
• 145 artifacts
• 75 spells & abilities
• Dozens of impactful map buildings
• Local "hotseat" multiplayer
• Co-op with other players or even with the AI

Another interesting aspect of the game play seems to be that turn based and real time elements are present. “While exploring the over world and developing your town and army are both turn-based, giving you time to think and plan out your next moves, in battles your units will do their best to fight for themselves in real time – all hundreds of them. Cast spells and give attack orders to swing the tide of battle – or just sit back and watch as your might unfolds.” On top of that is a procedurally generated map, making sure every time you place is a bit different from the time before.

A firm release date has not been given, only a season, Winter.
