Cosmo's Quickstop gameplay - fantastic, frantic fun

More On: Cosmo's Quick Stop

I wake up super early, so I find that after I spend a few hours doing work, I have a weird lull in my day while I wait for everyone else to wake up and get started. So, what better to do with that time than play some videogames?

I took a few minutes this morning to check out the first 45 minutes or so of Cosmo's Quickstop, now available on Steam from Big Sir Games. The player steps into the shoes of "Morvo", the new recruit at his uncle Cosmo's space gas station. The gameplay involved Cosmo slowly ratcheting up the demands on poor Morvo's time, constantly increasing expectations while Morvo runs around like a loon, trying to meet his thankless uncle's demands. So in that way, Cosmo's Quickstop is a lot like working a real-life retail job.

As a retail veteran, I felt right at home with Cosmo's Quickstop. Retail workers are regularly asked to perform feats of magic, getting a million things done without half the time needed to do them. Playing Cosmo, I quickly found myself reverting back into that mindset, perfectly comfortable scrambling around to meet ridiculous deadlines. Check it out:

Cosmo's Quickstop retails for $19.99. It is currently on sale for $17.99.
