Action RPG fans should be excited about Xuan Yuan Sword 7 - the first in the legendary Chinese Xuan Yuan Sword series to be localized and brought to the west. Publisher eastasiasoft today announced that Xuan Yuan Sword 7 will be arriving on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on September 30 with a new trailer focusing on the characters and weapon upgrades.
This AAA title is set 2000 years ago in ancient China, and is a celebration of Chinese culture and history. As the main character, Taishi Zhao will gain a number of cool powers and techniques, including the ability to slow time, absorb monsters, and alter the environment. And of course, there will be a ton of cool weapon and armor upgrades to work through.
The newest installment in the series is specially designed to be a good starting point for new players, with a completely stand-alone story. “Bringing the Xuan Yuan Sword series to the west with Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is extremely exciting,” said Joshua M French, Community Manager at eastasiasoft in a provided statement. “Anyone with an interest in either Chinese mythology or action-RPGs will have a blast with this latest entry, which was designed as an entry point for a whole new audience.”
