More On: Tom Clancy's XDefiant

There has been a lot of talk about a new free-to-play Ubisoft shooting coming down the pike, and today we got a lot of details when Ubi announced Tom Clancy's XDefiant - a new free-to--play shooter coming to PC, consoles, Luna and Stadia. XDefiant is launching with full crossplay between all platforms, making it much easier for players to hop into matches on the less-trafficked cloud services.

Though the game doesn't tie directly into any of Ubisoft's existing Tom Clancy franchises, factions are inspired by those found in other games; with groups like the Wolves (Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon), Echelon (Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell) and the Outcasts and Cleaners (Tom Clancy’s The Division) battling across a number of recognizable maps and locations.
