Rewrite your life in Where the Heart Leads

More On: Where the Heart Leads

I’m choosing to write about Where the Heart Leads, which is a narrative based game for one reason. Reading about the game made me think of Roy: A Life Well Lived. If you are unfamiliar with that game it’s probably because it’s not a real game, rather a skit from the show Rick and Morty, about a video game. In the skit Morty plays through an entire life as, well, Roy. (It’s worth a youtube search, even if you’re not a Rick and Morty fan.) Where the Heart Leads doesn’t look or feel like the skit, but it was still fun to draw the parallels when I first read about developer Armature Studio's new game.

“Rewrite history in Whit Anderson’s second chance at life. Navigate the turmoils of young adulthood, first love, aging parents, and complex relationships in a small town that grows and changes. Every word and action can send the story in a new direction across a sprawling, branching narrative with hundreds of choices and dozens of endings.”

Where the Heart Leads is available for PlayStation 4 and 5 through backwards compatibility.
