If you haven't checked out the recent The Addams Family animated film, you should do yourself a favor and give it a gander over on Hulu. For a kid's movie, it is surprisingly dark, and definitely captures the spooky weirdness the franchise has long been known for. There are a few sequences that are laugh-out-loud funny, and the entire thing plays as much more sophisticated than you might expect.
Outright Games is releasing a game this Halloween based on the new animated film franchise (a sequel is due this October), and while it looks like slightly standard 4-player co-op platformer fare, I'm definitely willing to suspend judgement until we see more of the game than just this little 30-second clip.
The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem will be the first console game featuring the family since 2001. I just hope that the game captures the spirit of the franchise as well as the recent films have.
The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem is scheduled to release later this year on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
