The DualSense is getting a makeover with black and red variants coming next month

Disgusting gamer confession here, even though I regularly wash my hands, and nor do I eat and use a controller at the same time, my DualSense still seems to regularly get dirty. Not so much that it’s a big deal but enough that it requires regular cleaning by someone with mild OCD tendencies. Since day one I’ve been waiting for some new colour DualSense controllers to be released and the wait is almost over. 

Today, Sony announced the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red DualSense variants which will begin hitting the shelves next month. Midnight Black features two subtly different shades of black with light grey detailing to reflect how we view space through the night sky, and Cosmic Red offers a striking black and red design inspired by the unique vivid shades of red found throughout the cosmos.
