I was kind of on the fence about Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground, but this new gameplay trailer does a lot to sell the game. In particular, the bits about multiplayer grabbed my attention. Take a look:

I was previously under the impression that Storm Ground would be one long tactical campaign, but finding out that it is instead a game made up of endless non-linear procedurally generated campaigns has stoked my interest. Committing to one of the three unit types for the full game would be a hard ask, but being able to try them all out in shorter campaigns is much more appealing.

But what really caught my eye is the multiplayer aspect of Storm Ground, which has players engaging in quick online battles, and then building up a deck of units, gear, skills, and weapons to go back online with. Almost a hybrid between a tactical battler and a CCG. Storm Ground suddenly sounds much sweeter than I expected.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 27. Folks that pre-order get access to an exclusive weapon for each army.
