New Wreckfest trailer shows what smashing stuff can look like in 4k

We've already broken the news about the June 1st release date for THQ Nordic's car smashing extravaganza Wreckfest. Now we get our first glimpse at what that will look like in stunning 4k in the Feature Trailer below. Wreckfest bills itself as a "true-to-life physics simulation crafted by legendary developer Bugbear, who also brought you FlatOut 1, 2 and Ultimate Carnage. Burn rubber and shred metal in the ultimate driving playground!" The game features racing, smashing, and multiplayer to challenge your friends. It promises to be regularly supported with free updates of new tracks and challenges for unique rewards and the boasts about the ability to change the look and performance of your cars by upgrading their body armor.

Wreckfest will be available both digitally and in a retail box for PS5 at $39.99. Owners of the PS4 version can upgrade for $9.99. Either way gives to full access to the next-gen enhancements:
