There is an entire ecosystem of video games in Asia that never see release on Western consoles. Xuan Yuan Sword, for example, is a series that has been huge in China for over thirty years - perhaps the Chinese equivalent of the Final Fantasy franchise. Now, for the first time in this franchise's storied history, Softstar and eastasiasoft are bringing a Xuan Yuan Sword game to North America and Europe.
Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is scheduled to release this summer on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, with physical versions releasing through Maximum Games. Described as a standalone story - and therefore a great place to jump in on the series - Xuan Yuan Sword 7 tells a story steeped in mythology.
