Jim Ryan claims the PS5 generation will have more exclusives than ever before

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) head honcho Jim Ryan has made the claim that the PlayStation 5 generation will see more exclusives than any prior generation on PlayStation consoles. Speaking to Nikkei and translated by VGC, Ryan made the following statements regarding the state of PlayStation exclusives this generation:

“We have been quietly but steadily investing in high-quality games for PlayStation, and we will make sure that the PS5 generation will have more dedicated software than ever before.”

“We have repeatedly engaged in mergers and acquisitions, including Insomniac Games in the US. We will not rule out that option in the future.”

As far as the near future goes, PlayStation fans needn’t wait long for the upcoming PS5 exclusive Returnal from renowned studio Housemarque. GamingNexus’ Eric Hauter is reviewing that one so keep an eye out for his review. In the summer, fans can look forward to the latest Ratchet & Clank instalment Rift Apart which releases on June 11.
