Speedy Gun Savage is a new VR shooter coming to Steam Early Access on April 9th for $9.99. The full launch of the title on Oculus Rift, Vive, PSVR and Valve Index will come later this year, after the developer has gathered input from the Early Access release. That's the basic info for this story, but not the most interesting part.
The interesting part is that Speedy Gun Savage is being developed by Gamitronics, an India-based VR, robotics, AI and theme park company. According to a recent press release, "Gamitronics has worked on numerous theme park attractions using both VR and robotics. Many of these were based around known video game properties including Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and Battlefield, wherein these franchises were realized in painstaking detail for publishers such as Capcom, Square Enix, and EA."
Speedy Gun Savage is being developed as a "sizzle reel" to prove what Gamitronics can do when it focuses all of its attention and expertise on a single video game. That, frankly, sounds fantastic.
