Grand Theft Auto in a Medieval setting. Not going to lie, that's not something I ever thought I'd think about. Rustler may not exactly be like Grand Theft Auto but that's kind of the impression I had from the trailer that was dropped by Modus Games. Rustler is currently in Steam Early Access and will be launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch this year. The trailer shows players will play as Guy, an anti-hero determined to win The Grand Tournament at any cost with the prize being the princess' hand in marriage...and they do mean at any cost. Maybe you'll have to kill a person or two. Perhaps commit Grand Theft Horse (the trailer may have used that phrase but I still can't believe I just typed that). I had some reservations when I first heard about Rustler but seeing the trailer now has me intrigued.

Today’s news was accompanied by a brand-new gameplay trailer that showcases the absolutely wild ride that you will be embarking on. Take a look at the video, which provides a glimpse at your chance to betray literally everyone you know, pay a man to follow you around as a human stereo and generally be a problem: https://youtu.be/8OohLCzFftk
In Rustler you’ll play as anti-hero Guy, a brigand determined to win The Grand Tournament for its grand prize of the princess’ hand in marriage, at all costs with the help of a tagalong ally Buddy. Might you have to steal a horse or two, or maybe perform a murder here and there? Maybe so. You will certainly be blowing things up while walking away in slow motion all the time, though.
