Creative updates the great Outlier Air earbuds

More On: Outlier Air V2

A while ago, we reviewed the Creative Outlier Air earbuds and for the price, those things were great. Featuring long battery life and a nice USB-C charging case, I was a fan of the earbuds even though I'm not that big of an earbud person myself.

Creative is launching an updated version dubbed the Outlier Air V2 with some new improvements. First, it looks like my biggest gripe for the original ones has been addressed with the inclusion of touch controls. Trying to push on the Outlier Airs to control your music or phone calls was a pain and here, that looks like it's been taken care of.

Speaking of battery life, they are touting 12 hours of use with charging from the case maxing its potential battery life to 34 hours before you have to recharge the case.

aptX and AAC codecs are supported and hopefully, voice calls improve with the inclusion of Qualcomm's cVc 8.0 technology. Oh, and let's not forget Super X-Fi built in, which is a super sweet tech that's music to my ears.

Look for the Outlier Air V2 here in the United States sometime next month with a very tempting price as the UK's website is listing it for £64.99.
