If you are anything like me, you might have a new itch for dogfighting games. Having been recently reawakened by Star Wars: Squadrons, my interest in flight games has reached a new peak. It looks like Red Wings: Aces of the Sky, today released on PC and consoles, might scratch that itch.

PC and Xbox players have access to a four-level demo, if they are interested in taking Red Wings (and its gorgeous cell-shaded art style) for a spin. The rest of us (PlayStation and Switch players) will have to settle for a look at the release trailer:

Pretty cool, right? It doesn't look like vs. multiplayer is part of Red Wings (which is fine with me - I find multiplayer dogfighting ultimately disheartening). However, local splitscreen co-op is included, which is kind of awesome.  Here are a few more features I yanked from the game's Steam page:

- Play 50 story-driven campaign missions and relive the epic aerial combat of World War I
- Control 12 historical warplanes of the Entente Powers and the Triple Alliance
- Upgrade your pilot progression skill tree to improve your stats and skills
- Fly through different game modes with a friend in local co-op

One last note: the Switch version of Red Wings is on sale for 50% off until October 25th. If you have a Switch, that is definitely the way to go.
